EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

For Consultants/Firms to engage in the Spotlight Initiative

 


The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) invites Expressions of Interest from potential consultants/ firms registered in the Caribbean and actively working in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, which are interested in developing a Gender Based Violence Case Management and information management system under the Spotlight Initiative in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Spotlight Initiative is a UN-wide multi-year initiative, funded by the EU, which commenced January 2020. The aim addresses all forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG), and harmful practices. In the Caribbean, the focus is on family violence. It follows a transformative and evidence-based approach, addressing unequal power relations between men and women and focuses on gender equality and women’s empowerment, as well as ending impunity for VAWG. In line with the principles of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Initiative follows a human rights-based approach and take into consideration the specific needs of women and girls who experience multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination and uphold the principle of “leaving no one behind”.

Expressions on interest are invited from Consultant/Firms to undertake the following activities:
 

Support the development of the Gender-based Violence Registry, which includes: (REF Nº UNFPA/TTO/EOI/23/001):
o    Conduct training of users of the DV/GBV registry in the production and analysis of data.
o    Incorporate GIS mapping into the GBV database including for mobile applications.
o    Facilitate the interface of Information Systems used by first responders with the Office of the Prime Minister’s updated GBV Registry.

 

Requirements:

Submissions must include information to demonstrate the Consultant’s/firm capability, capacity, relevant experience, competencies and technical expertise in one or more of the areas mentioned.

Interested parties are also requires to submit the following:

  • A brief history/profile of the Company/firm inclusive of organization chart (where appropriate)
  • List and description of service/activities of a similar nature that have been completed by the Consultant/firm in the past five (5) years.
  • Name and contact information of three (3) recent referees.
  • Proof of being an account holder at a local financial institution
  • Any other relevant documentation.

Late and/or incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
