Dignity Kits are more than hygiene kits, they help enhance women and girl’s safety, health, and comfort in ways that contribute to women and girls’ resilience and survival during times of crisis, their psychosocial and physical well-being, personal hygiene, as well as their protection.

Across the Caribbean, the Sub-Regional Office for the Caribbean prepositions Dignity Kits for Women and girls during crisis and emergency situations. During 2022, UNFPA in Belize has prepositioned over 400 Dignity Kits with the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).

Dignity Kits are more than hygiene kits, they help enhance women and girl’s safety, health, and comfort in ways that contribute to women and girls’ resilience and survival during times of crisis, their psychosocial and physical well-being, personal hygiene, as well as their protection (“Dignity Kits: Guidance Note”, a 2022 publication of UNFPA Caribbean).

UNFPA commends Col. Shelton De four and the NEMO team for their continued national leadership, including the prioritization of women and girls, in crisis and emergency situations in Belize.
