UNFPA Caribbean supported the 12th Conference of Women Parliamentarians of the Caribbean, Americas and Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. This took place from 23 July 2019 over a three-day period at the ANR Robinson (East), Level 9, Office of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Mr. Adler Bynoe, UNFPA Liaison Officer in Guyana, facilitated the session on behalf of the Director for the UNFPA Sub-regional Office for the Caribbean, Ms. Alison Drayton. The inter-generational panel discussion covered topics such as 'Touting' Sexual Norms: Street Harassment, Grooming Youth and Community Blindness, Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) as a prevention tool, ICPD and the Impact on How we Treat with Gender-Based Violence, Bullying and Gender-based Violence in Secondary School and LGBTQ Harassment. The 2 Cents Movement delivered gender-sensitive harassment performances through the lens of our young people.
