NAIROBI SUMMIT: Bahamas Parliamentarians acknowledge positive impact of UNFPA Humanitarian work

Director of the UNFPA Sub-Regional Office for the Caribbean, Alison Drayton (centre) acknowledges the comments from the Bahamas Parliamentarian about the positive impact that UNFPA is having in the Bahamas, after the devastating impact of Hurricane Dorian. She was addressing the meeting of Caribbean Parliamentarians and CSO leaders at the Nairobi Summit on the 14th of November 2019.

In attendance were the Bahamas Minister of Social Services and Social Development, The Honourable Frankie Campbell (left) and Regional Director of the UNFPA Latin America and Caribbean Office in Panama. Harold Robinson. The UNFPA Caribbean team members have been supplying Dignity Kitts and providing support services in Sexual and Reproductive Health as well as the prevention of Gender-Based Violence in hurricane-ravaged Bahamas.
