A public forum branded Big Ooman and Big Man Chat with a focus on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) took place on the 4th of December at the Courtleigh Auditorium  in Kingston, Jamaica. It was organised by the Bureau of Gender Affairs, a division of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport in partnership with UN Women Caribbean and The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Sub-Regional Office for the Caribbean.

Dr. Pilar de la corte Molina delivered remarks at the event and the Bureau launched a campaign using the hashtag #NoExcuseForAbuse. The event was in commemoration of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence.
