Seth Broekman, our Deputy Director contributed to the Steering Committee meeting for the Project for the Regional Advancement of Statistics in the Caribbean (PRASC) which was held in Ottawa, Canada from 6-7 May 2019. This meeting of external development partners focused on a coordinated approach to census in the Caribbean region.

Participating partners included the following: Statistics Canada, the OECS, Dominica NSO, IMF, ECCB, IDB, IMF, Global Affairs Canada, with remote participation from CDB and ECLAC.  Supporting countries in the collection, analysis and dissemination of census data for development is a critical part of UNFPA's mandate.
