22nd International AIDS Conference

The 22nd International AIDS Conference brings together experts and advocates from around the world. Together, they will present new findings on HIV and its prevention, develop productive collaborations, and promote responses to the global epidemic that advance the dignity, human rights and health of those affected.

UNFPA works with partners and governments around the world to prevent the spread of HIV, secure treatment for those living with the virus, and end stigma, violence and marginalization of vulnerable populations. This includes procuring and distributing male and female condoms, helping health systems integrate HIV testing and treatment into regular sexual and reproductive health services, and engaging and empowering vulnerable populations – including people living with HIV, men who have sex with men, members of the LGBTI community and others.

Among its activities at this year's conference, UNFPA will showcase CONDOMIZE!, a youth-driven UNFPA campaign that promotes condom access, and participate in a town hall meeting of young people and UN leaders.
