  • VCT; PMCTC programme; IEC programmes; surveillance, monitoring and registration of HIV positive cases; monitoring of safe blood supplies; advocacy programmes to address ‘sugar daddy’ syndrome.
  • Rights-based programming initiative and National Youth Policy (revised, draft) and HFLE policy.

Partnerships established

  • No National Convention on Human Rights; however, a rights based approach is the underlying philosophy and framework against which services are measured; periodically reporting to CEDAW.
  • Round table on gender based violence established; Government and NGOs collaborate on IEC programs
  • Partnerships with NGOs critical to ensure service provision.
  • National Cancer Society in collaboration with Community Health Services: Adoption of special programmes for men; Saint Lucia FPA’s weekly clinics for men.

Regarding quality health reproductive health services, limited  measures undertaken due to lack of human resources
