Laws enacted
- Belem do Para Inter-American Convention on Violence against Women ratified, but no monitoring mechanisms in place
- Domestic Violence Act passed in 2001
- Draft National Gender Policy.
Policies Implemented
- National Health Plan makes provision for reproductive health, men, women and youth
- RH components already integrated prior to ICPD.
- National AIDS Programme launched in 1996; creation of an AIDS Unit within Ministry of Education (1996).
- Establishment of a ‘Men and Aids’ committee in 2001 to educate men on STDs, sexual health and advocate male responsibility; Grenada PPA provided training to boys in HIV/AIDS and STDs.

Continuing challenges
- No legislative changes made, but National Health Plan makes provisions for women to be provided with appropriate RH care
