Caribbean Media Awards 2007

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund invites entries for its annual Caribbean Media Awards for best written and electronic media coverage under this year’s theme: Urbanization and Development. The deadline for entries is Friday October 5, 2007.

UNFPA Journalism Awards – Rules:

The Awards are open to journalists working in the English and Dutch speaking Caribbean in print, radio and television for the best story, radio, TV or print covering the theme: Urbanization and Development.

Stories should have been published or broadcast between 30 September 2006 and 30 September 2007.

The judges will look for entries with impact, insight and originality. Investigative work is welcome.

Dutch entries should have a translation into English and video entries should be in VHS or DVD format. A written transcript assists judging of radio and TV entries.

Multiple or joint entries will be accepted

Entrants should send two copies each of their entry or entries to Caribbean Media Awards, UNFPA, Office for the English and Dutch Speaking Caribbean, Pan Caribbean Building, 60 Knutsford Boulevard, 8th Floor, Kingston 5 or to the UNFPA Liaison Offices located at:
